A Virginia Leader in Business and Jobs

As we all settle into COVID-19 hunker-down-mode, which is our new reality at least for a while, it’s important for us all to help each other out however we can – from a distance, of course.

And while this crisis is affecting nearly every Virginian, restaurants are especially vulnerable. Throughout the state, many of them are struggling to stay open. Some have temporarily closed, but others are adapting and trying to hang on by shifting their efforts to safely preparing meals for takeout and delivery.

That’s why the recently announced ‘Virginia is for Restaurant Lovers’ Takeout Week, going on March 30-April 5, is such an important initiative. The idea is to remind you that you can still enjoy delicious meals and treats from your favorite restaurants, wineries and breweries – you just have to get them to go, or have them delivered.

There are many Manassas staples to choose from, so take your pick! Do it often if you can. Be adventurous and try something new, or stick with your favorites to show your support – it’s up to you.

In Manassas, Restaurant Week Will Go On

The Virginia-wide initiative may end on Sunday April 5th, but in Manassas, Takeout Week will continue. For many of our small businesses, it must continue. Our sustained support is exactly what these businesses will need to make it through, and with all of us, it will happen.

Don’t limit it to just restaurants either. Our local retailers have put forth tremendous effort by quickly expanding their online shops to adapt with the times – show them some love.

Hey, we all still get hungry, right? The good news is that doing your part has never been more delicious.
