Summit Community Bank, Behavioral Innovations Sign on at The Landing

Commercial leasing at the City’s largest mixed-use community, The Landing at Cannon Branch, is heating up as two new tenants are closing in on opening their offices in Manassas.

Summit Community Bank – a $4.5 billion community bank based out of West Virginia – has leased 2,080 square feet on the second floor of The Landing’s shell building completed in 2021. The branch and their initial team of four employees will serve as Summit’s main regional office for its commercial and business banking group serving the City of Manassas and surrounding areas. Buildout of Summit’s office is currently underway as the bank aims for summer opening.

“The Landing appealed to Summit with its central location to the area’s major employers,” says Summit Market President and Manassas Economic Development Authority Chairman Gary Jones II. “Being right at the Rt. 28-234 interchange and within the City makes our new facility easily accessible to the growing number of industrial, medical, and professional service businesses in the area.”

On the other side of the building, Behavioral Innovations – an applied behavioral analysis therapy clinic for children with autism – is completing their own tenant buildout with hopes of opening later in the year. Behavioral Innovation’s office at The Landing in Manassas will be the company’s first location on the East Coast. The two new businesses and Bristow Pediatrics, which opened last fall, will leave roughly 8,000 square feet left to be leased in the building.

Since kicking off construction in 2018, the City has transformed the once vacant 40-acre corridor with 374 townhomes, the Tru by Hilton hotel, and the office/retail shell building now home to Summit Community Bank and Behavioral Innovations (with upcoming plans for additional retail, office, and amenities like walking paths). To date, the City has received over $11 million in land sales and expects to generate $3.5 million in annual local tax revenue from the redevelopment of The Landing.
