Flowers with Passion Relocates, Expands in Historic Downtown Manassas
Flowers with Passion, a family-owned flower shop run by wife and husband duo Fauzia and Mohamad Omar, has relocated and expanded in Historic Downtown Manassas. Flowers with Passion had been located next to the Olde Towne Inn for over ten years, but following the City’s acquisition and planned redevelopment of the property, seized on the opportunity to move to a larger retail space at 9010 Center Street (Suite 103).
Originally from Kabul, Afghanistan with additional roots in Hamburg, Germany, Fauzia and Omar were drawn to Downtown Manassas’s rich history, active community, and European feel. The duo acquired Flowers with Passion in 2012 as both a passion project and an opportunity to be engrained in an urban environment with authentic places to enjoy, engraining those ideals into their business model. “We deeply enjoy establishing connections with our local customers with whom we work closely to establish trust to create individualized floral solutions for their special occasions,” says Omar. “We strive to echo the vibrancy and friendliness that is embedded in the local Manassas community.”
In July, Flowers with Passion finalized their lease for the larger 790 square foot retail space inside the Messenger Place building. The move provides the flower shop with upgraded design space and an expanded display area where customers can browse through a collection of plants, succulents, and Fauzi’s handcrafted greeting cards. Flowers with Passion will celebrate their move with a ribbon cutting on Friday, September 1 at 4 p.m. – please join us in welcoming them to their new home in Downtown Manassas!
