Given the expansive nature of economic development the City regularly partners with state and local stakeholders to strengthen the economic health and vitality of the business community. These partnerships enable the exchange of ideas and information, development of plans and best practices, and sustainable lines of communication.
Economic Development Authority
City Council established the Economic Development Authority (EDA) in 1977. A seven-member Board of Directors governs the EDA, each of whom is appointed by the Council to serve a four-year term.

The Manassas Business Council (MBC) is composed of seven members who are appointed by Manassas City Council and serve staggered, four-year terms.
