A huge thank you to all who joined us this morning at The Portuguese Center for another fun and eventful Business Appreciation Breakfast!

This morning about 150 businesses networked, heard from City leadership, and received timely insights on the Virginia business community and economy from Virginia Economic Development Partnership President and CEO Jason El Koubi. The attendees were also the first to lay eyes on our 2024 Annual Report and new Choose Manassas website! (more below).

An event like this isn’t possible without a fantastic host and hard working partners — thank you to The Portuguese Center, Prince William Chamber of Commerce, our many raffle donors, and Jason El Koubi for your time and leadership in our state.

And of course, we’re incredibly appreciative of the MANY businesses who make Manassas a dynamic place to live, work, and play! Because of our 1,600+ diverse and growing companies, Manassas enjoys competitive wages, low unemployment, and plentiful options for the best food, retail, and services right here in the City!

We look forward to continue serving you in these yearly celebrations and every other day throughout the week. We’ll see you next year!

Stay tuned to our Facebook Page for more event photos soon.

Introducing the 2024 Annual Report

2024 was a landmark year for Manassas. Micron announced plans for a $2.14B expansion, solidifying our status in advance manufacturing. The City earned a rare dual AAA credit rating from both S&P and Moody’s, even amid economic headwinds. With 1,600+ businesses, we remain committed to listening, engaging, and building a stronger future — together. Let’s keep the momentum going.

The Department of Economic Development is pleased to present the 2024 Annual Report, which you can access in the link below.

2025 Workforce Development Survey

Manassas City Council’s Strategic Action Plan identifies Educational Attainment and Workforce Development as critical to the City’s long-term growth and sustainability. In an effort to create an education and training system with robust workforce development initiatives that meet the needs of the business community, we are soliciting employer feedback through the 2025 Workforce Development Survey.

Your input is critical! We ask that all employers — big or small — located in the City of Manassas participate. The survey takes less than two minutes to complete with five short multiple-choice questions. Your participation is a crucial element in developing a pipeline of talent to meet our business community’s needs — both now and in the future.

As an incentive, respondents will be entered into a drawing for a $25 HEART BEAT Gift Card. A total of 10 recipients will be randomly selected, but you must respond by July 15, 2025.
