A Virginia Leader in Business and Jobs

MANASSAS — After eight weeks of business core business basics, they’re ready to graduate.

CenterFuse, a co-work and startup incubator in Downtown Manassas, is completing its eight-week educational “Launch-a-Business Program.”

A total of 35 entrepreneurs worked with six business mentors to learn business fundamentals for small businesses. The Topic included the value proposition of a business, revenue models, cost structures, key partners, activities and metrics, and sales theory.

A graduation ceremony will be held tonight for participants of the program.

The businesses registered in the LaB included a nonprofit and tech startup, consultants and a professional organizer, a designer and a solar panel installer, and as well as Downtown Manassas shop owners.

The LaB attendees graduate from the program with a certificate of completion and a brand new network of opportunity.

With help from the LaB mentors, which included Jim DiModica of APT Impact, Jinnae Monroe of Professionals by Design, Patrick King of Imagine, George Siragusa of the Mason SBDC, Sanjay Chandra of SCORE Mentoring, Evan Smith of Cogent Law Firm and Larry Fox of the Values Group, a strong support system is now readily available.

For CenterFuse staff, the LaB was an opportunity to learn about the local business landscape and to provide an extensive learning experience on Business Fundamentals.

The next LaB Program will be announced later this year.

The Launch-a-Business Program (Lab) as in the works since CenterFuse first opened in 2017.
