The Incumbent Worker Training Initiative provides funding to City of Manassas employers who want to enhance the skills of their current employees. These resources can help you build your workers’ confidence and expertise, while also helping you avoid layoffs. The best part? Your business will receive 100% cost reimbursement!
Interested? Here’s how it works. To participate, your business must be located in the City of Manassas. Employers select the trainings for their employees and once these are completed, employers will be reimbursed for 100% of the costs for trainings, certification exams, textbooks, and other resources. In order to guarantee reimbursement, all trainings must be completed by June 30, 2021.
To apply, go to www.vcwnorthern.com and fill out the Manassas Incumbent Worker Training Initiative funding application. Once this is complete, submit your completed application to Seema Jain, VP of Operations, at seema.jain@vcwnorthern.com. If approved, you will enter an agreement with The SkillSource Group, Inc., which outlines deliverables and outcomes for the training contract.
